Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Manager – Procurement with a strong background in sourcing and procurement of SMD components, aluminium and plastic fabrication, moulding processes, and electronic components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in procuring machinery, managing import regulations, and overseeing end-to-end procurement workflows. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for procurement and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. Experience with ISO 9001 and related audits is essential. Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement & Sourcing: o Source and procure SMD components, aluminium and plastic fabricated parts, moulded components, and electronic parts efficiently. o Manage vendor identification, price negotiation, and contract finalization to ensure cost-effective procurement. o Oversee the procurement of machines and tools required for electronics manufacturing. o Handle import processes, customs clearance, and coordination with international suppliers. 2. SOP Development & Process Improvement: o Develop and implement SOPs to optimize procurement workflows and ensure compliance. o Collaborate closely with production, quality, R&D, and finance teams to streamline procurement operations. o Monitor vendor performance and ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain. 3. Cross-Departmental Coordination: o Align procurement strategies with R&D, production, quality control, and finance departments to meet business objectives. o Maintain effective communication and coordination among suppliers, internal teams, and external partners. 4. Quality & Compliance: o Ensure procurement practices adhere to ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards. o Support internal and external audits concerning procurement and supply chain processes. o Maintain accurate documentation to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance. 5. Cost & Inventory Management: o Monitor and control procurement budgets to drive cost optimization. o Implement efficient inventory management strategies to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
