The Executive – Procurement


Key Responsibilities


Procurement Operations

  • Process purchase requisitions and generate Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved budgets
  • Ensure timely procurement of dialysis consumables, medical equipment, spares, and non-medical items
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders including Operations, Stores, Finance, BME, and Quality teams

Vendor Management

  • Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with approved vendors
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations, conduct price comparisons, and negotiate within defined limits
  • Ensure vendor compliance with company policies, quality standards, and documentation requirements

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory at centres
  • Support cost control initiatives through rate contracts, bulk purchasing, and standardization
  • Assist in tracking consumption trends and procurement MIS reports

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure procurement processes comply with internal SOPs, NABH guidelines, and statutory requirements
  • Maintain accurate procurement records including POs, GRNs, invoices, and vendor agreements
  • Support internal and external audits related to procurement and inventory

Coordination & Support

  • Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and resolve supply-related issues
  • Coordinate with logistics and stores teams for dispatch, receipt, and documentation
  • Support new centre onboarding by ensuring procurement readiness

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Commerce / Science / Management (MBA or PG Diploma in Supply Chain preferred)
  • 1–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in healthcare, hospitals, or dialysis services
  • Knowledge of medical consumables, equipment procurement, and vendor negotiation
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Excel
  • Understanding of NABH standards and healthcare procurement norms is an advantage
