Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer to join our healthcare organization.The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of extensive experience in end-to-endprocurement processes including strategic procurement, supplier management,purchase to pay process and supply chain governance, within project environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
- Manage full procurement lifecycle: Source-to-Contract (S2C) and support in
Governance of Purchase to Pay ( P2P); ensuring timely and cost-eƯective sourcing
of goods and services.
- Conduct supplier identification, evaluation, and selection to support project
requirements.
- Conduct RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, and conduct detailed pricing analysis and
negotiations to achieve optimal commercial terms and cost savings.
- Lead pricing strategies and commercial negotiations.
- Develop and maintain pricing models and cost benchmarks for key commodities.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging
technologies to inform and adapt procurement strategies accordingly.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Supplier Management & Development: Manage supplier relationships, conduct
performance evaluations, and lead supplier development programs to ensure
quality, reliability, regulatory aspects , EHS and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service,
Project Management, Finance, Quality, Development center etc.) to alignprocurement strategies with project goals.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies and guidelines.
- Monitor procurement compliance. Ensure adherence to ethical procurement
standards, regulatory compliance, and mitigate supply chain risks.
Performance & Cost Optimization
- Track and report KPIs for procurement eƯiciency and supplier performance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present procurement reports, dashboards, and
KPIs to senior management for informed decision-making.
Digitalization & Process Excellence
- Support digital procurement tools (e-sourcing, e-auctions, ERP systems).
- Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation,
and digitalization to enhance procurement eƯiciency and eƯectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Biomedical, etc.).
- 8–10 years of procurement experience preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of SCM governance, compliance management, risk mitigation
and procurement best practices.
- Proven expertise in handling complex procurement processes, pricing strategies,
and contract negotiations.
- Strong knowledge of source-to-contract and purchase-to-pay cycles.
- Demonstrated ability in supplier management, supplier development, and
stakeholder engagement.
- Skilled in cost saving initiatives, KPI development, and performance monitoring.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP).
- Familiarity with digital procurement platforms and process digitalization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Preferred Certifications:
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
- Lean Six Sigma or similar process improvement certifications
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You will drive efficiently procurement activities across businesses by building and
expanding cross-BU networks to support business growth and enhance
collaboration.
- You will ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence to Source to Contract
and Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes across all procurement activities.
- You are responsible for organizing regular pipeline meetings with regional project
and Commercial teams to:
- Monitor project opportunities and ensure timely execution.
- Identify support needs to optimize procurement processes.
- Track procurement KPIs and targets to ensure alignment with overall
business goals.
- Ensure early procurement and supplier engagement for smooth project
initiation.
- You work closely with regional PPMs, Commodity Managers, Project Managers,
Development center and Sales to optimize third-party costs in customer oƯers and
projects.
- You lead strategic supplier negotiations in alignment with business stakeholders to
achieve favorable terms in pricing, service quality, lead times and compliance,
balancing both cost savings and business needs.
- You will prepare quotation evaluation sheet and executive summaries to support
stakeholder decision making. Ensure transparency and traceability in vendor
selection.
- You will execute supplier qualification, selection, evaluation, classification and
development activities in line with Siemens Healthineers supplier management
policy.
- You will partner closely with internal requisitioners and end users to ensure
procurement requirements are clearly captured and addressed early in the
procurement process.
- You will maintain strong coordination with internally outsourced shared service
functions to ensure timely execution and service continuity.
- You will mitigate project risks through smart back-to-back agreements, proactive
procurement planning, and active participation in Limits of Authority (LoA)
meetings.
- You act as the interface between headquarters and regional procurement teams to
ensure alignment with global strategies and goals.
- You promote knowledge sharing and best practices across regions, contributing to a
culture of continuous improvement and innovation
