Company Overview Company Deals in Metal Injection Molding Hardware Parts and Its a manufacturing Company Especially one that produces hardware parts and includes departments like Die Casting, Packing, Polishing, Assembly, QC, CNC/VMC, etc. Role Overview The PPC Manager will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, and inventory management to ensure customer requirements are met on time with optimal use of resources. The role requires close coordination with production, procurement, quality, and stores to deliver efficiency, minimize bottlenecks, and achieve lean manufacturing goals. Key Responsibilities (KRAs) Production Planning & Scheduling Develop and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production schedules. Ensure alignment of production plan with customer orders and forecasts. Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Plan material availability in line with schedules. Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely supplies. Resource Optimization Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and resources. Reduce idle time, downtime, and capacity gaps. Inventory & WIP Control Monitor WIP and inventory levels to avoid overstocking/shortages. Implement JIT and lean practices. Monitoring & Reporting Track production adherence vs. plan and highlight deviations. Prepare MIS reports on production efficiency, utilization, and delivery status. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with QC, Procurement, and Maintenance teams to resolve bottlenecks. Support management in long-term capacity planning. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) On-Time Delivery (OTD): ≥ 95%. Production Plan Adherence: ≥ 90%. Inventory Turnover Ratio: As per industry benchmark. Machine Utilization Rate: ≥ 85%. Manpower Utilization Rate: ≥ 90%. WIP Levels vs. Standards: Controlled within tolerance. Lead Time Reduction: ≥ 10% YOY. Especially one that produces hardware parts and includes departments like Die Casting, Packing, Polishing, Assembly, QC, CNC/VMC, etc. Departmental Coordination Daily coordination with Production, QC, Maintenance, and Stores teams. Planning inter-departmental transfers (e.g., MIM to Machining, Machining to Assembly). Manpower Planning Scheduling operators and technicians as per production load. Coordinating overtime and shift planning. Reporting & Documentation Preparing daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports, production summaries, and downtime reports. Monitoring OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and productivity KPIs. Analytical & Soft Skills Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving Identifying process bottlenecks and providing quick corrective actions. Monitoring scrap, rework, and efficiency trends. Communication & Leadership Liaison between management and shop floor. Ability to motivate production teams and ensure smooth workflow. Time Management & Multitasking Handling multiple production lines and urgent customer demands efficiently. Continuous Improvement Implementing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Just-in-Time principles.
