Outbound Business Development Representative (US Shift)

Location: Bangalore (In‑Office)
Hours: 6 PM – 2:30 AM IST Mon - Fri (aligns to EST/PST)
Compensation: ₹12 LPA fixed + uncapped incentives (target‑based)
Type: Full‑time

The opportunity:

You'll be our first dedicated BDR - employee #1 on the sales team. This isn't just a job, it's a chance to build the outbound sales motion from the ground up, work directly with founders, and leave your fingerprints on everything from our ideal customer profile to our talk tracks to our tech stack.

You'll target US based companies expanding into Asia Pacific: tech startups scaling internationally, US mid-market firms opening their first APAC offices, and companies frustrated with the complexity of hiring across borders.

What you’ll do:

  • Research and segment target accounts (tech companies, PE/VC backed firms, US companies with APAC expansion plans)
  • Launch multi channel outbound campaigns: cold calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn outreach
  • Partner with founders to refine messaging, ICPs, and positioning
  • Generate qualified meetings with decision makers (HR leaders, CFOs, Ops leaders, Founders)
  • Execute high volume, high quality outbound: 40-50 daily touchpoints across calls, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Run A/B tests on messaging, subject lines, call scripts, and outreach timing
  • Qualify prospects using discovery frameworks (pain points, budget, timeline, decision makers)
  • Book 10 to 15 qualified meetings per month for the founding team
  • Track and report on key metrics like connect rates, meeting set rates, show rates, pipeline generated
  • Create the outbound playbook that scales as we grow the team
  • Cold calling with confidence: handle objections, build rapport, create urgency
  • Personalized outreach at scale: research accounts, identify pain points, craft targeted messages
  • CRM hygiene: every interaction logged, next steps clear, pipeline always current
  • Collaborate with founders on product positioning and market feedback
  • Stay ahead of APAC employment trends, competitor moves, and buyer behavior

What makes you a great fit:

  • 1 to 3 years of outbound SDR/BDR experience in B2B SaaS or tech (mandatory - we need someone who's done this before)
  • Proven track record in cold calling and cold email campaigns with measurable results
  • Experience prospecting into US markets (knowledge of US business culture, pain points, buying behavior)
  • Strong written and verbal communication, you can write crisp, compelling emails and hold confident conversations
  • Hands on experience with outbound tools: Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce/HubSpot, Outreach/Salesloft, ZoomInfo
  • Comfort with metrics, dashboards, and data driven iteration
  • Startup mindset: scrappy, resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling HR Tech, Payroll, EOR, or business enablement tools
  • Prospected into HR, Finance, or Operations buyers
  • Knowledge of international expansion challenges, global hiring, or compliance topics
  • Experience with video prospecting (Loom), AI sales tools, or creative outreach tactics
  • Spreadsheet skills for list building and analysis

Work schedule:

  • In-office: Bangalore office, 5 days a week
  • Shift: 6 PM – 2:30 AM IST to align with US East Coast and West Coast business hours
  • This timing ensures you're calling prospects during their business day for maximum connect rates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 per year
