Role Summary
The Operations Manager will lead technical installation operations for Enlog’s projects, ensuring accurate installation planning, strict adherence to electrical standards, disciplined electrician execution, and error-free post-installation performance. The role demands strong electrical domain knowledge, hands-on site control, and process-driven execution.
Key Technical Responsibilities
1. Installation Engineering & Planning
Review technical drawings, wiring diagrams, SLDs, and installation layouts prior to execution.
Plan installation methodology, sequence of activities, and manpower deployment.
Validate BOQ, material readiness, and tool availability before site mobilization.
Ensure installations comply with project scope, technical specifications, and safety norms.
2. Site Execution & Technical SupervisionConduct pre-installation and post-installation site visits for technical verification.
Supervise installation of electrical panels, meters, sensors, cabling, earthing, and IoT devices (as applicable).
Ensure proper routing, termination, labeling, and torqueing as per standards.
Troubleshoot on-site electrical, wiring, connectivity, or configuration issues.
3. Electrician & Field Engineer Management
Allocate tasks to electricians based on technical competency and site complexity.
Ensure electricians follow approved drawings, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Monitor installation workmanship, tool usage, and compliance with electrical codes.
Conduct on-site corrections, re-training, and root-cause analysis for errors.
4. Quality Control & Zero-Defect Installation
Implement installation quality checkpoints at each stage of execution.
Ensure no functional, wiring, or configuration errors remain after installation.
Perform testing, commissioning, and validation checks before site handover.
Eliminate rework through first-time-right installation practices.
5. Safety & Compliance
Enforce electrical safety protocols, PPE usage, and site safety norms.
Ensure compliance with electrical standards, local regulations, and client guidelines.
Identify safety risks and implement preventive and corrective actions.
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain installation reports, checklists, test records, and site visit logs.
Ensure accurate documentation for commissioning, handover, and audits.
Provide technical feedback to engineering for design or process improvements.
7. Cross-Functional Technical Coordination
Coordinate with Engineering, Product, Sales, and Support teams to resolve technical gaps.
Support pilot installations, new product deployments, and process optimization initiatives.
Act as the escalation point for complex technical and site-level issues.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / Electronics / Instrumentation (preferred).
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring standards, metering, panels, and site installations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SLDs, and wiring diagrams.
Hands-on experience in field execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of quality control processes and installation SOPs.
Preferred Background Experience in IoT deployments, smart meters, energy management systems, or EPC projects.
Prior responsibility for multi-site installation execution.
Exposure to process audits and installation standardization.
