We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational activities of our eye hospital. The role involves ensuring smooth hospital functioning, optimal patient experience, efficient coordination between departments, and adherence to healthcare standards and protocols. The Operations Manager will work closely with doctors, administration, finance, and support teams to maintain high-quality clinical and non-clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing overall hospital operations including OPD, OT coordination, front office, housekeeping, security, pharmacy, optical, and support services. The role involves monitoring patient flow, reducing waiting time, and improving service quality across all touchpoints.
The role includes coordination with clinical teams to ensure smooth consultation, diagnostics, surgery scheduling, and post-operative care processes. The Operations Manager will handle vendor management, inventory coordination (pharmacy, optical, consumables), and ensure cost control without compromising quality.
The position requires addressing patient complaints, escalations, and feedback in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high patient satisfaction. The manager will also support marketing, outreach camps, medical tourism operations, and government health schemes where applicable.
Ensuring compliance with NABH / hospital quality standards, safety protocols, biomedical waste management, and statutory requirements is a key part of the role.
Required Skills & Competencies
The ideal candidate should have strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication abilities, and problem-solving capability. A good understanding of hospital workflows, patient care standards, and healthcare operations is essential. The candidate should be proficient in hospital software, MIS reporting, and basic financial understanding related to hospital operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree (MHA / MBA – Healthcare) will be an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital operations, preferably in an eye hospital or multi-specialty healthcare setup.
