EISAI Global Digital Business Transformation (GDBT) centre in Vizag is our first truly global capability hub providing high quality IT capability services across the globe for various EISAI regions. The centre leverages internal critical technical competencies to engineer, build, secure, and operate consolidated cost optimized global infrastructure platforms supporting our human health care (hhc) mission.
We are looking for a seasoned Messaging & Directory Services Lead to drive the end-to-end
architecture, strategy, and implementation of M365 solutions across the enterprise globally. The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the full M365 suite, Active Directory and Entra ID with strong expertise in Azure cloud services and hands-on experience in automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell and Power Platform.
• Proven experience in leading and managing IT teams.
• Lead a team of engineers with a common goal to perform.
• Conduct Triages; Knowledge Measure for the team to enhance their technical edge.
• Present Growth Action Plan for engineers in the team &.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online,
OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender, Viva and Purview.
• In-depth knowledge of Entra ID, including user and group management, identity protection,
conditional access, and application integration.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, including AD Replication, Monitoring, Account Lockouts,
AD Hardening, GPO, PKI Infrastructure, etc.
• Define and enforce M365 governance, adoption frameworks, and operational standards.
• Provide strategic direction on Azure AD integration, Conditional Access, and IAM policies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and best practices.
• Automate operational processes and configurations using PowerShell, Power Automate, and
other relevant tools.
• Configure and monitor security and compliance policies including DLP, retention policies,
eDiscovery, and regulatory controls.
• Define and support the M365 roadmap, including feature rollouts and service enhancements.
• Integrate third-party applications with Microsoft Teams and other M365 services.
• Strong understanding of migrations from legacy on-premise systems (e.g., Exchange, SharePoint)
to Microsoft 365.
• Perform complete assessment of Messaging infrastructure and provide periodic SIP’s (Service
Improvement Plans) for M365, Azure and Active Directory/Entra ID environment.
• Strong understanding of implementation and management of key DNS records (SPF, DKIM, and
DMARC) to enhance email authentication and protect against spoofing threats.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Defender, including the configuration of anti-phishing, anti-spam, Safe Links, Safe Attachments, and Safe Documents policies to enhance organizational
email security.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Apple Business Manager (ABM), including the
implementation and integration of the MDM/Intune platform with ABM for automated enrollment
of devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Mac devices.
• Utilize best practices and tools for data migration, change management, and user adoption.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance optimization for the M365 environment.
• Regularly liaise with global stakeholders and onshore leadership to coordinate project activities
and drive continuous service improvements.
• Provide regular feedback and insights to global architecture teams to influence future technology
roadmaps.
• Mentor and provide guidance to GCC technical teams on architecture best practices, cloud
identity management, and automation.
• Leverage personal and collective team subject matter expertise to drive best practice-based
solutions.
• Apply your experience conducting technology analysis on current state architecture, processes,
and needs to create gap analysis, SOPs and drive best practices.
• Maintain awareness of industry and Microsoft 365 best practices and business levers for the
Modern Workplace technologies
• Work independently to handle complex problems
• Represent GCC capabilities in global architectural forums, reviews, and planning sessions.
• 10-13+ years of overall IT experience, with 6-7 years in a senior M365 architect or SME capacity.
• Expert-level knowledge of the full M365 suite—design, administration, and support.
• Excellent knowledge of Active Directory and Entra Id platform services
• In-depth understanding of Azure cloud services relevant to M365 (e.g., Azure AD, Security Center,
Monitor).
• Strong automation skills using PowerShell, Power Automate, or equivalent scripting tools.
• Familiarity with the Zero Trust security model and implementation of M365 security controls.
• Solid grasp of M365 licensing, tenant configuration, and service boundaries.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert,
Microsoft Entra ID, or related credentials.
• Experience in hybrid environments and on-prem to cloud migration strategies.
• Familiarity with modern workplace solutions, digital transformation initiatives, and collaboration
platforms.
• Exposure to ITIL, Agile, or DevOps methodologies and practices.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert and related credentials (Preferrable)
