About the Role

As a Messaging & Collaboration (M365 Services) Architect, you will define and execute the

enterprise-wide architecture for Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Defender, and Viva. This strategic role requires deep technical expertise and a visionary mindset to drive modernization, governance, and automation across Eisai’s global digital workplace ecosystem.

Experience Level: 8 to 10 Yrs

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and lead global M365 solution designs encompassing Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Viva, and Purview.

• Define and enforce M365 governance frameworks, adoption strategies, and operational standards.

• Drive hybrid Exchange migration and modernization programs from on-premise to cloud.

• Configure and monitor security and compliance policies (DLP, retention, eDiscovery, and insider risk management).

• Integrate third-party collaboration tools with Microsoft 365 using APIs and Graph connectors.

• Provide technical leadership in collaboration, messaging, and endpoint security domains.

• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, and roadmaps for M365 environments.

• Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell, Power Automate, and Graph API.

• Collaborate with InfoSec, Compliance, and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure platform security alignment.

• Provide periodic Service Improvement Plans (SIPs) and drive performance optimization initiatives.

• Mentor engineers and analysts on M365 best practices, architecture principles, and cloud identity models.

• Conduct Triages & Knowledge Measure for the team to enhance their technical edge

• Daily Case reviews to update Action Plan for quick resolution

• Present Growth Action Plan for engineers in the team

• Floor Support on technical complicated issues

• Take escalations as L3 from the engineers on technically complicated or aging tickets.

Required Skills

• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 suite—Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, and Defender.

• Experience architecting large-scale M365 deployments with hybrid and multi-tenant environments.

• Advanced understanding of Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Identity Federation.

• Proficiency in PowerShell, Power Automate, and automation scripting for M365 management.

• In-depth knowledge of M365 compliance & governance—Purview, DLP, retention policies, and audit frameworks.

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating third-party applications with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and modern endpoint management.

• Understanding of Microsoft Graph, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), and Defender XDR ecosystem.

• Exposure to ITIL and Agile methodologies for service delivery.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Messaging Administrator, or

Solutions Architect Expert preferred
