Key Responsibilities
Store Business Finance
Financial Oversight:
Manage the full financial performance of the retail stores,including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Performance Reporting:
Prepare and present regular financial reports on storeperformance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Store-level Management:
Be accountable for the accuracy and integrity of store-level Profit & Loss statements.
Operational Analysis:
Partner with the retail operations team to drive improvements in store profitability through deep-dive analysis on key cost drivers like rent, labor, and utilities.
New Store & Remodel Feasibility:
Conduct financial modeling and analysis for new store openings, closures, and remodels.
Investment Appraisal:
Evaluate the financial viability of proposed store investments and initiatives.
Overall FP&A
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting and long-range planningprocess for the entire organization.
Consolidated Financial Reporting:
Prepare and distribute consolidated financialreports, including monthly management reports and quarterly board presentations.
Strategic Analysis:
Provide strategic financial analysis and support to seniorleadership on key business initiatives.
Variance Analysis:
Analyze financial results against budget and forecast, providing insights into the key drivers of performance.
Process Improvement:
Continuously seek to improve financial planning and analysis processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Experience:
CA with 3-5 years of experience in finance. Experience in the retail or consumer goods industry is preferred.
Skills
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. o Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders. o Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically.
