Job Description

Job Summary:

Graniti Vicentia is seeking a Local IT Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting all IT systems, infrastructure, and user devices within the company for Hyderabad location. This includes managing IT procurement, ensuring network stability, supporting users with technical issues, maintaining data security and software compliance, and providing technical support across office and production areas.

In a design and manufacturing environment, this role is crucial for keeping design workstations, production systems, and communication tools running efficiently.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. IT Asset & Procurement Management

●    Procure and deploy laptops, desktops, workstations, and peripherals (monitors, printers, plotters, etc.).

●    Maintain a complete, accurate IT asset inventory (hardware and software).

●    Track warranties, AMC, and renewals for IT assets.

●    Coordinate with vendors for quotations, purchases, repairs, and support contracts.

●    Evaluate hardware and software requirements and plan upgrades as needed.

2. Software Installation & Compliance

●    Install, configure, and update operating systems and applications.

●    Manage software licensing and ensure compliance with vendor agreements.

●    Maintain up-to-date antivirus and endpoint protection systems.

●    Monitor and manage software updates, patches, and security policies.

●    Support installation and maintenance of specialized design/manufacturing software (e.g., AutoCAD,Sketchup, Bluebeam,REVIT,ERP systems etc).

3. Network & Server Administration

●    Maintain LAN/Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.

●    Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.

●    Manage user accounts, access permissions, and shared drives.

●    Ensure reliable connectivity between office and production systems.

●    Support VPN and remote access for authorized personnel.

●    Assist in data backup, file sharing, and recovery processes.


4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

●    Provide day-to-day technical assistance to users for hardware, software, and network issues.

●    Log and resolve IT support requests efficiently; escalate complex issues when needed.

●    Set up new user systems, accounts, and email configurations.

●    Perform regular health checks on systems and peripherals.

●    Support design teams with high-performance workstation and application troubleshooting.

5. Printer, Plotter & Peripheral Management

●    Install and configure printers, scanners, and plotters across departments.

●    Monitor and maintain printer network connectivity and driver updates.

●    Manage printer queues, consumables (toner, ink), and maintenance schedules.

6. IT Security & Data Protection

●    Enforce IT security policies, including user access control, password management, and device encryption.

●    Monitor for malware, phishing, or unauthorized access attempts.

●    Ensure regular data backups and verify restore procedures.

●    Maintain endpoint security tools and implement periodic audits.

●    Support compliance with internal and external data security standards.

7. Documentation & Reporting

●    Maintain IT asset records, configuration details, and network diagrams.

●    Document issue resolutions, standard procedures, and user guides.

●    Generate monthly IT performance, inventory, and support reports.

●    Maintain change logs for hardware and software modifications.

8. Coordination & Continuous Improvement

●    Coordinate with external IT service providers and software vendors.

●    Train users on IT best practices and basic troubleshooting.

●    Recommend and implement improvements in IT systems and workflows.

●    Support the rollout of new technologies, upgrades, or company-wide IT initiatives.

●    Participate in periodic IT audits and infrastructure reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

●    Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

●    3–6 years of relevant experience in IT administration or system support.

●    Strong knowledge of Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

●    Hands-on experience with networking (LAN, WAN, routers, switches, firewalls).

●    Familiarity with Active Directory, user management, and permission control.

●    Experience with printer, scanner, and plotter installation and maintenance.

●    Knowledge of IT asset tracking and license management.

●    Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

●    Ability to handle multiple support requests in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

●    Experience with design and Project Management software (e.g., AutoCAD,Sketchup, Bluebeam,REVIT,ERP systems etc)..

●    Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle Netsuite).

●    Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration.

●    Understanding of cybersecurity and data protection best practices.

●    Basic understanding of backup and storage systems.

Work Environment:

● On-site role, supporting users in office and other company locations.

● May require occasional travel to vendor sites or other company facilities.

● Flexible to handle after-hours or urgent IT issues if needed.
