The Lead Engineer is an experienced contributor responsible for the design, development, and integration of Surgical Robotics systems. This role involves to Lead , oversee and drive CDP (Concept Development Process) activities at MEIC. The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing deliverables, managing team workload and ensuring seamless execution of CDP projects. It involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet customer requirements and industry standards, performing tasks such as requirements analysis, system design, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Summary Of Position

• Take ownership of small CDP, medium CDP activities from MEIC prioritizing deliverables based on PI (Program Increment) planning and business needs.

• Continuously assess the team’s workload and effectively assign ad-hoc requests that arise from unforeseen priorities.

• Provide support to the team in creating design verification strategies as required.

• Manage and maintain the Kanban board to track and monitor all tasks undertaken by the MEIC team, ensuring transparency and progress.

• Train team members on new or evolving processes as and when needed to maintain high standards and adaptability.

• Attend CDP kick-off meetings to understand project scope and relay relevant information to the responsible team member.

• Act on behalf of any team member during their absence by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the scope and status of all ongoing CDPs within the team.

• Responsible for projects/processes focusing on reliability testing of assigned systems/subsystems/components documentation including protocol development, data analysis, and collaboration
  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis:

• Gather and analyze system requirements from stakeholders.

• Translate customer needs into technical specifications and requirements documents.

• Individual contributor that works independently under limited supervision on complex projects.

• Responsible for entire projects/processes within Reliability Engineering.

• Test capability development, protocol development, test method development, preliminary failure analysis, test execution, data recording/reporting, data analysis/management, test status reporting/presentation. Supports planning inputs and participates in engineering reviews.

• Performs data analysis and reports transform data into reliability information.

• Conducts development and qualification of methods, fixtures, platforms and software for reliability tests.

• This includes internal development activities as well as partnering with external vendors.

• Ability to facilitate system level workflow testing and training of test operators.

• Reports issues using established procedures/processes.

• Collaboration with cross-functional team members, various suppliers, and test laboratories.

• Coaches and reviews the work of Juniors in the team.

• Tackles difficult problems and demonstrates understanding of multiple issues/specialties.

• Improves processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of Reliability testing.

• Communicate with senior internal customers and external vendors.

• Experience with solid modeling software (CREO, SolidWorks) is preferred.

• Familiar with concepts of design input, design output, traceability, and risk analysis are preferred.

• Implement and maintain data collection or self-diagnostic test systems and scripts for environmental testing of electrical components and sub systems

• Demonstrated experience with testing and evaluating electrical performance, failures, and determination of the useful life for complex electro-mechanical and robotic systems, test and measurement equipment, analysis methodologies and test documentation are required.

Experience

10 to less than 14 Years of experience or with an advanced degree with 9+ years of experience

Education

• Required: - B.E or B. Tech in Mechatronics, Mechanical Electronics or Electrical.

• Preferred: - M.E or M. Tech in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics and Electrical.
