As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, automating, and managing scalable IT infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments. You will lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, security, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies. This role involves implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automating workflows, optimizing cloud resources, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You will support enterprise collaboration tools, provide Tier 3 IT support, and act as a bridge between IT operations and engineering teams. The position demands both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills to drive impactful solutions in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
- Accountabilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize scalable IT infrastructure in cloud (AWS/GCP) and on-premises environments.
- Automate IT processes, provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Manage identity, access, and device management solutions, ensuring security and compliance.
- Provide Tier 3-level support for critical IT systems and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices and compliance initiatives (SOC2, GDPR, ISO).
- Collaborate with global IT, development, and security teams to optimize workflows and improve deployment reliability.
- Document IT processes, train teams, and provide clear communication across time zones.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in IT systems engineering, automation, or DevOps roles.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and associated automation tools.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, with experience automating IT processes.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure including Linux, Windows, networking, identity, device management, and monitoring.
- Experience managing infrastructure and automation projects in fast-paced, distributed environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience with enterprise collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian Suite, CI/CD tools).
- Bonus: Certifications in AWS/GCP, experience with IaC, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and FinOps/cloud cost optimization.
