Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for an Information Technology Executive. The Information Technology Executive will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting IT issues, managing network infrastructure, overseeing IT operations, and supporting the overall technology needs of the organization. The role involves implementing effective IT systems to streamline operations and ensure smooth functionality for the company's hospitality and entertainment ventures.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide first-level support for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, scanners, POS systems, biometric devices, and other IT equipment.
• Resolve system errors and escalate complex issues to the IT Manager when required.
• Maintain a log of IT issues and resolutions.

2. Network & Systems Management

• Monitor and ensure uptime of internet, routers, switches, and access points at all outlets and offices.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and system access permissions.
• Support implementation of firewalls, antivirus, and security protocols.
• Ensure data backup and system recovery processes are followed.

3. POS & Software Support (Hospitality-specific)

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot POS systems used in restaurants.
• Coordinate with POS vendors for updates, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Ensure smooth integration of POS with billing, inventory, and reporting systems.

4. Asset & Inventory Management

• Maintain updated records of IT assets—laptops, desktops, POS machines, networking equipment, and accessories.
• Monitor AMC contracts and coordinate with service providers.
• Ensure proper tagging, tracking, and timely maintenance of IT assets.

5. Installation & Upgrades

• Support rollout of new IT systems, software, and digital tools across outlets.
• Configure CCTV (if under IT), printers, and access control systems.
• Assist in implementing upgrades and ensuring minimal downtime for operations.

6. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to IT policies, data-security guidelines, and company SOPs.
• Maintain documentation of network diagrams, login credentials (secured), and system configurations.
• Prepare regular IT status reports and submit to the IT Manager.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of Windows OS, networking protocols, and hardware components.
• Basic understanding of POS systems and ERP/software support.
• Good communication skills and ability to assist non-technical staff.
• Ability to multitask and respond quickly during operational hours.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.Sc / BCA / B.Tech in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in hospitality, retail, or service industry.
• Exposure to POS systems or restaurant technology is an added advantage.
