Job Description

Position Overview:

Manager/ Deputy Manager – HR


Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical and support roles – from manpower planning, sourcing, and selection to offer and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with business heads to forecast manpower needs and develop hiring strategies.
  • Manage employer branding and candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Oversee smooth onboarding, documentation, and induction of new employees.

2. HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage employee records, personal files, and digital HRIS data.
  • Handle employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, and separations.
  • Administer attendance, leave management, and HRMS updates.

3. Payroll Management

  • Oversee end-to-end monthly payroll processing with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Validate attendance, overtime, incentives, and deductions before finalization.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory contributions (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the Finance team and external auditors for payroll audits and compliance.
  • Continuously improve payroll processes and maintain strict adherence to timelines.

4. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and grievances.
  • Build a positive work culture through engagement, recognition, and communication initiatives.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and engagement activities.

5. Performance Management & Development

  • Drive goal-setting, appraisal, and feedback processes.
  • Partner with leadership to identify capability gaps and training needs.
  • Support talent development and succession planning initiatives.

6. Compliance, Policies & Audit

  • Ensure full statutory compliance with labor laws and HR-related regulations.
  • Maintain and periodically update HR policies and the employee handbook.
  • Handle labor inspections, HR audits, and liaison with government departments when needed.

7. Exit Management & Retention

  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews and F&F settlements.
  • Analyze attrition data and recommend retention strategies.
  • Ensure smooth clearance and documentation for separated employees.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Experience:

    7–10 years of experience in HR operations with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, preferably in a

    technology / engineering / R&D environment

    .
  • Proven expertise in

    payroll management

    and statutory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, policies, and labor laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
