About Us -

Upriver is a fast-growing e-commerce growth company helping brands scale on marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, and more. We’re building a dynamic team and are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead and strengthen our people function.


Role Overview -


As the HR Manager, you will play a strategic and hands-on role in managing people operations, driving culture, and ensuring seamless HR practices across the organization. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support business growth through strong HR processes.


Key Responsibilities -

  • Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
  • End-to-end recruitment for all verticals (Creative, D2C, Sales, Operations, Marketplace, campus hiring, Social Media).
  • Build strong employer branding to attract top talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers and founders to design JD, evaluation, and interview processes.



HR Operations & Compliance -

  • Oversee the complete employee lifecycle: onboarding, confirmation, transfers, exits.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, HRMS updates, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Manage payroll inputs, leaves, reimbursements, and statutory compliances (PF, ESI, gratuity).


Employee Engagement & Culture-

  • Drive engagement initiatives: townhalls, fun activities, rewards & recognition.
  • Build a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, feedback sessions, and grievance redressal.



Performance Management & Development -

  • Implement KRA/KPI framework and appraisal process.
  • Partner with leaders for performance improvement plans (PIP).
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning initiatives.


What We’re Looking For-

  • 3–6 years of proven experience in HR (preferably in e-commerce/startup/agency environment). Strong knowledge of HR operations, compliances & labor laws.
  • Hands-on experience with HRMS software (keka) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle employees across levels and drive culture.
  • Smart, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
