Human Resources Manager

Job Description: You will be working as a Human Resources Manager at Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital in Santiniketan, West Bengal. As a part of the Human Resources department, your role will be crucial in managing the most valuable asset of the organization, which is its people. Your responsibilities will include overseeing recruitment and staffing processes, handling employee relations, ensuring policy development and compliance, managing performance and development, and overseeing compensation and benefits. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the entire recruitment cycle for all levels of staff, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. - Develop strategies to attract top talent in the healthcare and education sectors. - Oversee credentialing and background verification for new hires. - Act as the primary contact for employee relations issues, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. - Foster a positive work environment that encourages open communication and collaboration. - Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures compliant with Indian labor laws and healthcare regulations. - Manage the employee performance appraisal system and identify training needs for professional development. - Maintain relationships with benefits vendors and ensure employees are informed about their packages. Qualifications and Skills: - Education: An MBA or Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. - Experience: 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial role, preferably in a hospital or educational institution. - Knowledge of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices. - Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management systems. - Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Proficiency in HRIS software and MS Office Suite. - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
