Beyondtax is a Reg-Tech startup building a digital compliance workspace for MSMEs and startups. We bring compliance evidence, tasks and people together on a single platform so businesses can stay compliant with clarity and confidence.


Role Description

This is a project-based HR role for MBA / MA (HR/HRM) students who want practical exposure to HR in a startup environment. You will handle real HR work across recruitment, HR operations and basic HR analytics, working closely with the founder and core team.

If the collaboration works well, there may be an opportunity to extend the internship by an additional month and contribute to HR-related product research (for example, mapping HR workflows and pain points that can inform Beyondtax’s product roadmap).


Key Responsibilities

  • Own parts of the recruitment funnel: drafting JDs, sourcing profiles, screening resumes, coordinating interviews and maintaining candidate trackers.
  • Support HR operations including offer letters, onboarding documentation, HR database maintenance and basic HR records.
  • Help design and document HR policies, processes and SOPs for interns and full-time roles.
  • Contribute to employee engagement activities such as periodic check-ins, feedback forms and simple engagement initiatives.
  • Prepare basic HR reports and dashboards (e.g., hiring funnel, intern performance/attendance summaries) using Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices relevant to startups (performance management, engagement, HR compliance touch points).
  • (On extension) Work with the team on HR product research, translating HR processes and challenges into inputs for product features.


Key Responsibilities

  • Current student of MBA / PGDM / MA in HR / HRM or equivalent, preferably from strong HR-focused programs.
  • We are especially keen to hear from students of top MBA/HR institutes offering specialised HR programmes.
  • Genuine interest in building a career in HR (recruitment, HR ops, policies, people practices).
  • Comfort with Excel / Google Sheets and online collaboration tools.
  • Clear, professional communication and reliability in meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time and document work clearly.
