Key Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Compliance Manager, the Compliance Trainee will:

• Understand and use Beyondtax's compliance systems, dashboards and checklists in day-to-day work.
• Assist the Compliance Associate with data collection, basic validation and preparation of workings/templates for GST, Income Tax, TDS and other filings.
• Maintain digital documentation and trackers (invoices, challans, returns, working papers) in the prescribed formats and folders.
• Coordinate with client contacts using standard templates to obtain required data, documents and clarifications.
• Perform basic reconciliations and simple summaries (e.g., matching invoices with summaries, checking totals) and share them for review.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recent graduate with Bachelor's degree in Commerce / Tax / Law / Accounting (e.g. B.Com, BBA, LLB or similar).
• 01 year exposure to accounting, taxation or compliance (including internships, projects or articleship) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of concepts related to GST, Income Tax and TDS is an advantage.
• Comfort working with Excel/Google Sheets and openness to learning new digital tools and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow structured checklists and processes.
• Eagerness to learn from seniors, take responsibility for assigned tasks and work in a startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Prior internship / articleship in a CA firm or compliance / accounting role.
• Familiarity with government portals such as GST, Income Tax, MCA, EPFO, ESIC, etc
• Participation in college-level finance, tax or commerce-related projects, clubs or events.
