Role Overview

The Compliance Analyst executes day-to-day statutory and regulatory compliance work for allocated clients.

  • Executes compliance tasks end-to-end under defined processes and checklists.
  • Works under the direction and review of the Compliance Manager.
  • Individual contributor role with no team management responsibilities.

The position suits candidates with hands-on experience in GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF/ESI, ROC and related laws, who want structured exposure in a Reg-Tech environment

Key Responsibilities


  • Execute statutory compliances for MSME/startup clients covering GST, Income Tax, TDS, PF/ESI, ROC and other applicable laws.
  • Prepare workings, data templates, reconciliations and schedules for various returns and filings.
  • Draft and file GST returns, TDS returns, income-tax forms and other statutory forms within timelines set by the Compliance Manager.
  • Maintain compliance calendars, trackers and documentation on digital tools and cloud systems.
  • Coordinate with clients to obtain data, documents and clarifications required for filings and audits.
  • Track due dates for each client and ensure internal actions are completed on time for filing.
  • Record and organise working papers, workings and evidence for future reference and audits.
  • Prepare concise compliance summaries, MIS reports and status updates for review by the Compliance Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Share practical feedback with the product team on checklists, workflows and dashboards while using the Beyondtax platform.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Tax / Law / Accounting (e.g. B.Com, BBA, LLB or similar).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in compliance, taxation, accounting or related roles (experience in a CA firm will be valued).
  • Working knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS and ROC compliances.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and comfort with digital tools and cloud-based systems.
  • Strong ownership of allocated tasks, high accuracy and comfort in working with detailed checklists.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving processes.


Nice to Have


  • Experience in a CA firm or a compliance-focused role handling multiple clients.
  • Experience in drafting process documents, SOPs or internal audit paperworks.
