Job Description

The HR Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources functions, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, statutory compliance, training, and organizational development. The role ensures that HR policies, systems, and practices align with the company’s strategic goals and regulatory requirements specific to the chemical manufacturing industry.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

A. Policy Development and Implementation

  • Develop, review and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks.
  • Ensure fair and consistent implementation of company policies across all departments.
  • Advise senior management on HR best practices, organizational structure, and change management.

B. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for technical, operational, and managerial roles.
  • Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.
  • Conduct interviews, negotiate offers, and onboard new employees.
  • Maintain relationships with recruitment consultants, universities, and training institutes.

C. Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by maintaining healthy employee relations.
  • Address grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolution in accordance with company policies.
  • Design and implement employee engagement programs, welfare activities, and retention initiatives.
  • Ensure transparent communication across all levels of the organization.

D. Performance Management

  • Implement and monitor the company’s performance appraisal and goal-setting system.
  • Assist department heads in setting measurable KRAs/KPIs for all employees.
  • Facilitate periodic performance reviews and recommend career development actions.
  • Identify high-performing employees for recognition, promotion, and succession planning.

E. Training and Development

  • Identify skill gaps and develop annual training calendars for employees across departments.
  • Coordinate internal and external training programs related to technical skills, safety, and leadership.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain training records for audits and compliance.

F. Compensation and Benefits Management

  • Oversee payroll administration, attendance, and leave management in coordination with the accounts team.
  • Ensure competitive compensation structures aligned with market standards.
  • Manage employee benefits, insurance and welfare schemes effectively.

G. Statutory Compliance and HR Administration

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory requirements such as PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Factories Act, Shops & Establishment Act, and others.
  • Maintain updated employee records, HR database, and statutory registers.
  • Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and inspectors during statutory audits and inspections.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports on time.

H. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordination

  • Collaborate with the Production team to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety induction for new employees and coordinate periodic safety training sessions.
  • Support initiatives related to employee health check-ups and wellness programs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
