About The Opportunity

A senior role in the Residential Services & Private Household Management sector, focused on running a well-appointed private residence in India. This on-site position delivers end-to-end household operations, staff leadership, vendor coordination, and hospitality-grade service for the family/principal. Ideal for experienced household professionals who combine operational discipline with discreet, high-touch service.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily household operations to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and high standards across all living spaces and systems.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise domestic staff (housekeepers, cooks, drivers, gardeners), manage payroll and performance reviews.
  • Manage household budgets, track expenses, prepare monthly reconciliations, and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.
  • Plan and coordinate family events, guest stays, travel logistics, and special occasions with hospitality-level execution.
  • Supervise property maintenance and contractor work, prioritise preventative maintenance, and enforce safety and security protocols.
  • Maintain inventories of groceries, supplies, and valuables; implement procurement routines and manage deliveries.

  • Household budgeting and expense reconciliation
  • Staff recruitment, training, and supervision
  • Staff scheduling and rostering systems
  • Vendor selection, negotiation, and management
  • Inventory control and procurement processes
  • Event coordination and guest hospitality
  • Property maintenance oversight and contractor coordination
  • Security systems management and safety protocol enforcement

Preferred

  • Experience with smart home automation systems
  • First Aid / CPR certification
  • Butler service protocols or formal hospitality training

Qualifications & Practical Requirements

  • Proven experience managing private residences, estates, or luxury households (senior/lead role).
  • Strong references from previous households or high-net-worth employers.
  • Valid driver’s licence and experience supervising household transport logistics.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
