Description
Responsible for high-quality, secure, and stable application testing and delivery on production (OPUS, Maximus and all satellite applications), contributing to the company's goal of operational excellence, application security, and technological innovation for sustained business growth and competitive advantage Principal Accountabilities IT application strategy development Driving the creation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for both functional and non-functional application quality, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall strategic goals. Continuously identifying and engaging with quality-focused testing partners, with an aim to bring innovation and efficiency into BAGIC’s application testing landscape. Recommending and advocating the adoption of emerging testing technologies, with a focus on strengthening and modernizing BAGIC’s current testing platforms in line with industry trends. On time delivery and deployment of SIT released requirements on UAT and Production Application Testing & Portfolio Management Understand business/functional needs of all department bases the requirement documents, prioritize and design the test plan based on the UAT and Production delivery timeline with available resource Delivery of the planned projects within the defined TAT, ensuring no escape defects released Recommend team to design reusable automation frameworks, prioritize and deliver the projects, so same can be re-utilized in the next regression testing cycle in saving manual human effort and time Lead adoption and change management process including communication, stakeholder management to maximize adoption of changes in platforms and applications created for businesses/functions Identify vendors with specific skillset/products, where required to enable effective implementation of projects Ensure 100% VAPT done in all declared projects ensuring strict adherence go compliance standards Ensure 100% VAPT done in all new applications in Maximus, development done by external partner Ensure Performance testing done for all large projects before going live on production in both the PAS systems Ensure the Performance benchmarking to be maintained post the new project go-live Adherence to the compliance and regulatory standards Collaborate with business SPOCs in critical and large projects to recommend the UAT plan to meet the timeline Arrange triage meetings between multiple business users and development partner to ensure the closure of the reported issues on time and provide UAT test data as per need bases Define monthly project plans, review and sign off on plans; regularly review progress, identify risks and weekly publishing the report within IT Release review meeting with development team and ensure sanity testing completed post production deployment, ensuring production is working as is prior to every deployment Functional review Scan for new technology to improve processes, tools and methodologies used in the quality and testing team to increase efficacy of delivery Monitor the status and progress on QA project efforts, SLAs, IT operations and proactively identify issues in implementation and suggest corrective actions to ensure adherence to timelines Provide guidance to team members on application/system issues, new applications framework design and development, testing tool evaluations and enhancement of existing frameworks Identify and mitigate IT related risk Ensure security and compliance with industry regulations and standards Stakeholder Engagement Collaborate with other department SPOCs’ and heads to understand their IT needs from QA/UAT prospective Prioritize and adjust SIT efforts based on business needs, discussing urgency and priority in various critical projects Communicate QA initiatives, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership and other stakeholders Within It, collaborate with project tower leads and application owners to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline Team development Lead the team of subordinates and test engineers in their day-to-day activities to ensure smooth business as usual Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior positions within the function Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team Identify and create development opportunities and training for team members to enhance technical and functional domain knowledge Show more Show less
