We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Game / Product Owner
to own and drive the monetization, progression, and live-ops strategy
for our flagship title. This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining the long-term product vision and ensuring the delivery of engaging, scalable, and sustainable player progression and monetization systems.You will work at the intersection of game design, product management, data analytics, and live operations—leading cross-functional teams to build compelling player journeys while balancing fairness, engagement, and commercial success.This role has significant ownership and influence over the core economic pillars of the game.Key Responsibilities
Product & Strategy Leadership
Define and own the long-term monetization, progression, and economy strategy
aligned with the overall game vision and business goals.Establish product KPIs, success metrics, and player engagement goals across the lifecycle.Drive roadmap planning and prioritization for progression systems, economy features, and monetization initiatives.Economy Design & Optimization
Lead economy design, progression pacing, system balancing, and reward structures.Use data-driven insights to iterate on retention, engagement, and revenue performance.Ensure healthy in-game economies that balance player value, fairness, and monetization.Live Operations & Player Lifecycle
Oversee live-ops strategy including events, seasons, offers, content cadence, and feature rollouts.Define player lifecycle strategies from onboarding through long-term retention.Collaborate with marketing and UA teams to align promotions and live content strategies.Cross-Functional Leadership
Work closely with game design, engineering, analytics, marketing, and production teams to ensure cohesive execution.Translate product vision into clear requirements, backlogs, and deliverables for development teams.Act as the primary product decision-maker for monetization and progression features.Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years
of experience in game product management, game design, or product ownership, with a strong focus on monetization and progression systems and P/L.
Proven experience owning live games with measurable impact on retention, engagement, and revenue.Deep understanding of game economies, F2P monetization models, and live-ops frameworks.Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience using data to drive product decisions.Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.Ability to balance player-first design with sustainable business outcomes.Nice-to-Have
Experience working on AAA, AA, or large-scale live-service titles.Background in sports games or competitive multiplayer products.Familiarity with Unreal Engine-based pipelines or technical production workflows.Experience working with global markets and diverse player segments.Why Join LightFury Games?
