Role Overview The Game Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing gameplay systems, mechanics, and player experiences that align with the studio’s creative vision. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring the delivery of engaging, polished, and well-balanced gameplay . Key Responsibilities Design & Implementation: Develop and refine gameplay mechanics, systems, and level designs using Unreal Engine 4/5, including Blueprint scripting. Gameplay Balancing: Ensure mechanics are engaging, well-balanced, and optimized for diverse player experiences. Feature & Systems Design: Define and oversee the development of core gameplay loops, progression systems, and in-game economies. Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, art, animation, and narrative teams to bring design concepts to life. Player-Centric Approach: Gather and analyze player feedback and game data to drive iterative design improvements. Documentation & Communication: Create and maintain detailed game design documents, prototypes, and presentations to effectively communicate ideas. Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and support junior designers, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and AAA game standards. Required Skills & Experience 2+ years of experience in game design, with at least two shipped titles. Expertise in Unreal Engine 4/5, with hands-on experience in Blueprint scripting and a deep understanding of AI, physics, animation, and level design systems. Strong knowledge of game mechanics, player psychology, and UX/UI design principles. Experience in console, PC, or mobile game development, with an understanding of performance optimization. Ability to balance gameplay mechanics for diverse player skill levels. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment. Strong proficiency in documentation and presentation of game design concepts. Preferred Qualifications Experience with C++ scripting in Unreal Engine. Knowledge of multiplayer game design and networked gameplay. Experience in AI and combat system design. Passion for AAA game development and knowledge of industry trends.
