About The Role

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Game Designer to join our talented team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing core gameplay systems, crafting engaging levels, and shaping memorable player experiences. You will collaborate closely with artists, programmers, and other designers to define and refine game mechanics, level layouts, and overall gameplay flow. The ideal candidate is passionate about game design, has a strong understanding of player psychology, and is eager to solve complex design challenges to produce compelling and innovative gaming experiences.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. You should have professional or project-based experience in game design, level design, or gameplay systems design. Familiarity with Unreal Engine, scripting or blueprint logic, and experience creating design documentation are essential. A strong portfolio demonstrating your design skills and previous work is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and iterate on core gameplay mechanics, including combat systems, puzzles, and player interactions to ensure an engaging experience.
• Create level layouts, flowcharts, blockouts, and gameplay scenarios aligned with the game's vision and narrative.
• Collaborate closely with artists and programmers to bring design concepts to life while maintaining clarity and consistency across all assets.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including feature specifications, level briefs, system overviews, and gameplay balancing notes.
• Playtest features and levels regularly to identify issues, gather feedback, and propose creative solutions to enhance gameplay quality.
• Ensure that gameplay systems are intuitive, balanced, and aligned with overall player experience goals.
• Work within an agile development environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production milestones and deadlines.
