Head - Land & Local Laisioning

Purpose/Objective

The Head - Land & Local Lesioning will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless land acquisition and local stakeholder engagement to support the Coal to Chemical business unit’s strategic initiatives. This role is critical for enabling the development of key projects, including the establishment of petrochemical clusters and associated infrastructure, by fostering strong relationships with local communities, government bodies, and other stakeholders. The position aligns with Adani Group’s broader mission of driving industrial growth while maintaining sustainable and community-focused operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Lead and manage the end-to-end land acquisition process, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution. • Strategize and implement effective local liaisoning frameworks to address community concerns and ensure smooth project operations. • Collaborate with legal teams to resolve land-related disputes and ensure adherence to statutory requirements. • Provide strategic inputs to the Head Project on land-related risks and mitigation strategies. • Monitor and report on land acquisition progress, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets. • Facilitate the acquisition of necessary permissions and clearances from local authorities to support project development. • Act as the primary point of contact for local stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and fostering trust. • Support the Coal to Chemical business unit’s operational goals by ensuring land availability for current and future projects. • Drive initiatives to enhance community engagement and promote sustainable development practices.

Technical Competencies

Proficiency in GIS mapping tools for land identification and analysis.,Safety Compliance,Knowledge of land acquisition processes, legal frameworks, and local liaisoning,Operational requirements of large-scale industrial projects, particularly in the petrochemical sector

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven expertise in land acquisition and local liaisoning, with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience. • Extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, preferably in the petrochemical or energy sectors. • Strong legal acumen related to land acquisition laws and regulations. Educational Background • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred. **Years & Type of Experience ** • 20+ years of experience in land acquisition, legal frameworks, and stakeholder management. • Demonstrated success in handling complex land-related negotiations and community engagement.
