Job Description

Job Title:- Head – HR & IR

Department:- Human Resources

Reports To:-Managing Director / CEO / Group HR Head

Job Purpose:-

To lead the Human Resources and Industrial Relations functions of the organization by formulating and implementing policies, systems, and processes that support business objectives, ensure a harmonious industrial environment, and foster employee engagement, productivity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Human Resource Management

* Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan.

* Oversee recruitment, selection, and on boarding of employees at all levels.

* Design and monitor performance management systems (PMS).

* Drive employee engagement initiatives and organizational culture development.

* Plan and execute learning & development programs for skill and leadership growth.

* Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and statutory requirements.

2. Industrial Relations (IR)

* Maintain cordial relations with labor unions and ensure a peaceful industrial climate.

* Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements.

* Handle disciplinary actions, grievances, and employee dispute resolutions.

* Liaise with government departments and labor authorities.

* Ensure timely compliance with labor laws, factory acts, and other statutory obligations.

3. HR Operations & Compliance

* Manage payroll, benefits administration, and statutory deductions.

* Ensure timely submission of statutory returns (PF, ESIC, LWF, Gratuity, etc.).

* Audit HR and IR processes for efficiency and legal compliance.

4. Strategy & Organizational Development

* Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business decisions.

* Develop manpower plans and succession planning strategies.

* Implement HR automation and digital transformation initiatives.

* Drive CSR and sustainability-related workforce initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies:-

* Strong knowledge of **labor laws and industrial relations**.

* Excellent **negotiation and conflict resolution** skills.

* Strategic thinking and leadership ability.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Expertise in **HR analytics, PMS, L&D, and talent management**.

* Proficiency in HRMS tools and MS Office.

Qualification & Experience:-

Education:*- MBA / PGDM in HR / MSW (Human Resources / Industrial Relations specialization).

Experience:** Minimum 12–20 years** of experience in HR & IR, with at least **5 years** in a leadership position in a manufacturing or industrial setup.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):-

* Industrial peace and absence of labor unrest.

* Employee retention and engagement scores.

* Timely statutory compliance.

* Training effectiveness and productivity improvements.

* Successful union negotiations and settlements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
