Job Description

Senior Government Tender & Liaison Manager

This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in navigating complex government procurement systems, winning strategic tenders, and building lasting relationships with key government departments and PSU customers.


🟦 Key Responsibilities:

Tender Opportunity & Strategy

  • Proactively monitor tenders for fans (ceiling, exhaust, table, wall-mounted) and appliances (geysers, kitchen appliances, HVAC systems) on GeM, eProc, MES, HWB, and state PHED portals.
  • Analyze technical specs (including IS 555 and other IS standards) to develop strategic, competitive bids.
  • Align tender strategy with sales and profitability goals.

Sales-Driven Bid Leadership

  • Lead complete bid preparation including BOQ, techno-commercial proposals, costing, and margin modeling.
  • Make pricing decisions balancing competitiveness, MSR rates, and sales targets.
  • Drive achievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals through tender wins and annual maintenance contracts.

Government Liaison & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and sustain strong relationships with procurement and technical teams in MES, HWB, PHEDs, municipal corporations, railways, defense agencies, and educational institutions.
  • Coordinate pre-bid meetings, site inspections, and resolve RFIs with a focus on technical clarifications.

Tender Compliance & Documentation

  • Oversee preparation of all tender documentation including EMD, PBG, warranties, IS certifications, and maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure strict adherence to portal requirements and awarding authority mandates.

Reporting, Forecasting & Leadership

  • Track the tender pipeline, monitor bid-to-win ratios, and manage sales forecasts.
  • Provide clear, data-driven reports on tender outcomes and revenue inflows to senior leadership.

🟦 Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years of experience in government tendering and sales of fans, appliances, and geysers.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets through strategic tender wins and AMC development.
  • Deep knowledge of product categories including ceiling fans, exhaust fans (IS-555), geysers, kitchen appliances, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with government procurement channels including MES, HWB, PHEDs, railways, defense services, municipal and educational institutions.
  • Solid understanding of IS standards, maintenance strategy, and AMC development.
  • Strong liaison, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills with field coordination expertise.
