This role is accountable for global P&L ownership, driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and lifecycle management. Key responsibilities include developing innovative solutions, expanding network capabilities, and enhancing customer experience across diverse markets. The Position will also spearhead go-to-market initiatives, support sales enablement, and ensure GVPN remains competitive and profitable by addressing evolving customer needs and market dynamics.Major Responsibilities & Key Role DeliverablesProduct P&L Ownership: Accountable for driving and achieving the product's financial targets: To drive product strategy, roadmap and execution to achieve GVPN P&L objectives (Gross revenue, Net revenue, EBITDA and EBIT),Product Development: Lead & Drive end to product conceptualization, development, enhancement & life cycle management of GVPN Services portfolio.Business Processes: Development of Business processes for new product/features, enhancement of business processes for existing service/features and alignment with overall organization technology/OSS and BSS roadmap.Product Strategy & Market Development: Create new value proposition, market strategy, pricing and positioning of the product with the sales & marketing teams. Engage and partner with technology providers to introduce new features in existing products or new products. Review & drive enhancements in product documentation, sales kit, collaterals etc.Sales & Solutions Enablement: Support Sales, Channels, Solutions and Commercial teams around customized solutioning, pricing and provisioning for services. Guide teams around new ways of selling/ approaching new opportunities. Participate in meetings along with Sales for specific customers.Annual Operating Plan: Drive AOP process to define strategy & roadmap of the product portfolio to meet the revenue & costs (Network/IT) forecast. Conduct capex and opex forecasting for the product, track and meet the AOP plan.Regulatory and Legal Compliance: Provide and lead input for policy/regulatory matters concerning the Product and ensure regulatory and legal compliance.Qualification-Necessary RequirementBachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology.A Management Degree in marketing is preferable .15-20 years of experience in Product Management & Product Development including GVPN Services.Knowledge and experience in B2B market including Enterprises and Service Providers.Experience and knowledge in GVPN Services and market.Strong techno commercial and analytical skill set.Key Required Skills
Technical SkillsMPLS Architecture & ProtocolsDeep understanding of MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching).Knowledge of traffic engineering and QoS mechanisms.GVPN Design & DeploymentExperience with global VPN architectures, including hub-and-spoke, full mesh, and hybrid models.Familiarity with IPsec, GRE, and other tunneling protocols.Network Infrastructure & TechnologiesUnderstanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS.Understanding of SD-WAN, NFV, and cloud-based networking integrations.Security & Compliance.Knowledge of network security protocols and standards (e.g., IPsec, SSL/TLS, AAA).Awareness of global compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).Service Delivery & SLA Management.Experience in defining and managing SLAs, service assurance, and performance metrics.Familiarity with network monitoring tools and platforms (e.g.NetFlow, SNMP, NMS).Functional SkillsProduct Development: Define product requirements & lead/own product development from concept to launch (with accountability for product delivery). Ownership of building product roadmaps and offerings and ensuring governance to drive implementation.Product Lifecycle management Manage the Product effectively through all stages of its lifecycle and through relevant customer transformation and market evolution paths. Facilitate and support smooth and fast customer order journey. Support and propose improvements in systems, process to improve CSAT. IT & CFT teams closely work to build a digital journey platform and experience for customers.Product Marketing plans: Develop and implement product plans that include value proposition, pricing, positioning, channels, promotions, and packaging, collateral support and sales support/infrastructure plan to drive the successful acquisition and retention of customers. Define a 'go to market model' within the existing sales/channel strategy..Product Performance: Specify, monitor & manage product financial, technical, service & operational performance levels. Tracking the product(s) P&L, revenue, new business and profitability including competitive pricing of the product(s) in the marketplace to achieve desired sales volumes/optimized profit.Product Forecasting / Reporting: Provide timely and accurate forecasts for and report on product or solution revenues and costs.Sales support: Define the product’s value proposition for Sales. Engage in product education/Trainings, through available channel. Provide Sales and commercials teams with appropriate pricing guidelines and support special pricing and special solutioning on need basis.
