- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company growth targets and expand market share.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and market entry strategies.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs,and potential areas for expansion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners,and industry influencers.
- Negotiate and manage strategic partnerships, alliances, and business agreements to enhance the company’s market position.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership strategies with overall business objectives.
- Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and implement strategies to address any gaps or opportunities.
- Work closely with the sales team to support lead generation, pipeline management, and closing of high-value deals.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including geographic expansion and new customer segments.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to effectively enter and establish a presence in new markets.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape to refine business development approaches.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination within the business development team and across other departments.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics,and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Analyze business development results and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and strategic adjustments.
Applicant requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, sales or a related role, in a managerial position within the renewable energy or solar industry.
- Proven track record of driving business growth, building strategic partnerships, and achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the solar energy market, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and make informed business decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, business development tools, and Google Workspace.
