- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and services.
- Manage and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to meet project milestones.
- Oversee inventory planning and management to ensure optimal stock levels. Implement systems to track and manage inventory effectively, reducing excess and obsolete stock.
- Manage logistics and transportation to ensure the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to our facilities. Optimize logistics processes to minimize delays and costs.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to align supply chain activities with production schedules and customer demands. Address any supply chain issues that impact project timelines or customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including potential disruptions or compliance issues.
- Utilize data analysis to drive decision-making and performance improvements. Prepare and present reports on procurement and supply chain performance to senior management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement and supply chain team. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Applicant requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15-25 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.Experience in the solar energy or renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and logistics.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
