hands-on functional leadership role

Key Responsibilities:

🔹

Business Process & Functional Leadership

  • Analyze and document business requirements across

    Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Warehouse

    functions.
  • Lead workshops with business users to identify

    pain points, system gaps, and optimization opportunities

    .
  • Map business requirements to D365 F&O capabilities, ensuring alignment with operational model.
  • Own end-to-end process design for

    Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, Fixed Assets, Procurement, and Budgeting

    .
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis and define process improvements leveraging

    standard D365 functionality

    before customization.

System Configuration & Implementation

  • Configure modules including

    GL, AP, AR, Procurement & Sourcing, Project Management, Inventory, and Fixed Assets

    .
  • Define and maintain workflows, approval hierarchies, and automation rules (ExFlow, Vertex, etc.).
  • Collaborate with technical teams for integration validation (Amdocs, MuleSoft, Concur, Salesforce, OfficeTrack).
  • Support creation of test cases, conduct UAT, and manage deployment activities for new enhancements.
  • Work closely with

    Service Delivery and Technical Architects

    to ensure smooth transition and knowledge transfer.

Finance & Procurement Optimization

  • Streamline

    A/P matching and invoice automation

    workflows using ExFlow and D365 tools.
  • Implement controls for

    budget transfers, purchase requisitions, and expense approvals

    .
  • Recommend process automation opportunities leveraging

    Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI)

    .
  • Support reconciliation and reporting between

    Warehouse, Procurement, and Finance

    modules.

Reporting, Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

  • Define business KPIs and reporting requirements for finance and procurement.
  • Support Power BI dashboard design for

    A/P Aging, Variance, and Financial Close

    metrics.
  • Maintain

    Functional Design Documents (FDDs)

    ,

    Process Maps

    , and

    Configuration Workbooks

    .
  • Conduct end-user training and ensure

    internal team becomes self-sufficient

    post-transition.

Governance & Support Alignment

  • Participate in

    CAB (Change Advisory Board)

    meetings and

    SLA-based support reviews

    .
  • Work with ServiceNow-based ticketing and triage processes (L1/L2/L3).
  • Define and implement

    financial governance and change control

    mechanisms.
  • Partner with offshore and onshore teams for 24×7 support coverage and escalations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience

    with D365 Finance & Operations or Dynamics AX (2012 R3 or later).
  • Deep functional expertise in

    GL, AP, AR, FA, Procurement, Inventory, and Project Management

    modules.
  • Proven experience with

    ExFlow

    ,

    Vertex

    , and

    Procurement/Inventory automation

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    financial reporting, month-end close, and audit controls

    .
  • Experience designing

    functional solutions for complex ERP integrations

    .
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client-facing discussions.
  • Ability to collaborate across business, technical, and data teams in a hybrid delivery model.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of

    MuleSoft

    ,

    Power BI

    ServiceNow integration

    frameworks.
  • Experience working in

    Telecom, Utilities, or Financial Services

    domains.
  • CPA or finance background is an added advantage.
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate.
