Timings: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM / 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Web Developer to lead the development, optimization, and enhancement of our travel website. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership skills, innovative thinking, and the ability to drive team performance. This role requires end-to-end ownership of projects, architectural decision-making, and a proactive approach to solving challenges.

Key Responsibilities

1. Web Development & Feature Enhancement

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain core features of the travel website.
  • Build responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces using modern front-end technologies.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and content teams to implement UI/UX improvements.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, troubleshoot backend issues, and ensure seamless data flow across modules.

2. Travel Domain Functionality

  • Work with critical travel modules such as bookings, itineraries, search filters, pricing engines, and catalogue management.
  • Integrate third-party travel APIs such as GDS systems (Amadeus/Sabre/Galileo), hotel/flight APIs, and payment gateways.
  • Ensure reliability, accuracy, and real-time updates of travel-related information.

3. System Architecture & Technical Leadership

  • Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions.
  • Take ownership of high-level technical decisions and coding standards.
  • Lead the development team by providing guidance, support, and direction.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure quality control, and drive technical best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance within the team.

4. Team Building & Leadership

  • Contribute to building a strong, collaborative, and motivated development team.
  • Identify skill gaps and help in training, upskilling, and developing team members.
  • Mentor junior developers and support them in their technical growth.
  • Encourage open communication, teamwork, and knowledge-sharing across the engineering team.

5. Innovation & Proactiveness

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improving site performance, user experience, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Recommend and implement innovative technologies, tools, and practices to enhance development processes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging web technologies, and travel-tech advancements.
  • Introduce new ideas, concepts, or frameworks to keep the website competitive and future ready.

6. Performance, Security & Reliability

  • Optimize website speed, responsiveness, and overall performance.
  • Implement caching, lazy loading, asynchronous processing, and other advanced optimization techniques.
  • Ensure industry-standard security practices, data protection, and compliance.
  • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and lead root-cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.

7. SDLC Ownership & DevOps Collaboration

  • Manage the full software development lifecycle including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Work closely with DevOps to manage CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and infrastructure.
  • Maintain proper version control using Git and follow clean, maintainable coding practices.
  • Document workflows, APIs, architecture, and release notes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-6+ years of professional experience in full-stack or web development.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend (HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS, Responsiveness Web Design, modern frameworks) and backend technologies (API development, Core PHP, Laravel framework,) & CMS – WordPress.
  • Experience with travel-related systems, APIs, and booking engines is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams preferred.
  • Prior experience working in the travel domain is mandatory.
  • Excellent English communication skills to coordinate effectively and efficiently with external development teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Understanding of travel industry platforms, workflows, or integrations (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
