Role Overview

The Accounting & Finance Executive will be responsible for preparing and analyzing periodic financial and sales MIS reports, ensuring accurate accounting across multiple branches, supporting monthly/weekly MIS reporting requirements, preparing Profit & Loss statements, monthly cost budgeting, and assisting in scheme costing and book closure activities. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

Management Information System (MIS) Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly Sales MIS reports (branch-wise, product-wise, customer-wise as required).
  • Generate and maintain Accounting MIS for management review.
  • Analyze variances and highlight key trends to management.

Monthly Cost Budgeting & Expense Control

  • Prepare monthly cost budgets for regular expenses including:

  • Administrative expenses
  • Marketing expenses
  • Manpower expenses
  • Sales scheme costs
  • Monitor actual vs. budgeted expenses and provide variance analysis.
  • Assist management in planning and controlling costs effectively.

Sales Scheme Costing

  • Evaluate the cost and financial impact of various sales schemes and discounts.

  • Prepare profitability analysis and scheme effectiveness reports.

Profit & Loss (P&L) Preparation

  • Prepare monthly branch-wise and consolidated Profit & Loss Statements.
  • Identify deviations from budget and support management in decision-making.

Book Closure & Accounting Control

  • Ensure monthly closing of books of accounts is completed on time.
  • Review branch accounts and ensure accurate entries, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with branch accountants to resolve discrepancies.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Support statutory compliance requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.

Coordination & Support

  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and branch teams for data collection and validation.
  • Provide financial insights to management for strategy and decision-making.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timely and accurate preparation of Sales & Accounting MIS.

  • Accuracy of monthly branch-wise book closure.

  • Quality and timeliness of P&L preparation.

  • Effective monthly budgeting and variance analysis of expenses.

  • Accuracy in scheme costing and profitability analysis.

  • Compliance with accounting standards and policies.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter)/CA (Semi Qualified) preferred.

  • Experience:

  • 2–7 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in multi-branch companies.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Tally/ERP/SAP, or other accounting software.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
