To support this growth, Finance Operations (FinOps) ensures scalable, compliant, and high-quality Accounts Payable (AP) processes across both inventory and non-inventory business units.We are seeking a customer-obsessed, results-driven Financial Analyst to join the FinOps – Operations Readiness Team. This role will influence AP processes at a global level and drive operational readiness, efficiency, and controllership across Finance Operations Support Centers.The ideal candidate is passionate about process innovation, thrives in ambiguity, and consistently raises the bar by delivering scalable solutions that improve the experience for customers, vendors, and internal partners.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project LeadershipLead and manage complex, global programs and initiatives end-to-end, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Define project scope, milestones, success metrics, and cross-functional dependencies.Influence stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Business Partnering, and Tax to achieve project goals.
Business Requirements & Solution Delivery
Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable solutions across people, process, policy, and technology.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement scalable AP processes that balance speed, accuracy, and controllership.Ensure operational solutions are standardized, efficient, and customer-centric.
Governance, Risk & Execution Excellence
Maintain high standards of project execution by adhering to Amazon’s governance and project management methodologies.Identify risks, dependencies, and obstacles; implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans proactively.Track and report project health, milestones, and risks to leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of FinOps and AP operations.Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardization to improve operational excellence.Apply data-driven insights to influence decisions and support business growth.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of professional experience, including finance operations, Accounts Payable, or related analytical roles4+ years of experience leading or supporting multiple finance and accounting processesProven experience in managing complex, cross-functional projectsStrong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable recommendationsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, capable of influencing across teamsAbility to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and make data-driven decisionsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Preferred Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
