Financial Analyst

Purpose of role:

• Support in preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports on a monthly basis.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of the management reports.
• Preparation of budget and variance analysis.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced Excel proficiency and dashboard creation.
• Ability to build automated Excel templates, financial models, and dynamic reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of P&L, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.

Job Responsibilities

Explain the principal responsibilities that the job must achieve. Each responsibility statement should explain what is being done, why it must be done and the targeted key results to achieve it. For example, develop and recommend (WHAT IS DONE) sales and revenue budgets in order to meet the planned growth (WHY) by understanding the external environment and internal business direction (HOW).

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Support in preparation and analysis of monthly Income Statements (MTD & YTD) for assigned Business Units.
• Develop and maintain Business Unit–wise Income Statements.
• Generate and interpret Financial Ratio Reports.
• Prepare KPI dashboards and performance metrics.
• Support in preparing forecasts for P&L, cash flow, scenario plans, and long-term business plans.
• Support in preparing management presentations, financial summaries, and review packs.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support in preparing detailed annual budgets in consultation with Business Unit heads & leadership team.
• Support in preparing budget review decks and summary insights.
• Maintain and update rolling forecasts based on latest performance trends.
• Provide insights on deviations and opportunities for improvement through variance analysis.

3. Business Partnering

• Support the team in working closely with Business Unit owners to enable strategic and operational decision-making.
• Assist the leadership team in providing financial analysis, modelling, and guidance across all Business Units within the Group.
• Support the leadership team and Business Unit owners in preparing business cases, investment proposals, pricing analyses, and other financial evaluations.
• Work & collaborate with stakeholders in identifying efficiencies, optimizing cost structures, and enhancing profitability across profit and cost centers.

4. Financial Planning & Projects

• Assist in the execution of various finance-led initiatives and projects across the organization.
• Support in preparing MIS reports, executive dashboards, and cash forecasting summaries.
• Monitor and support capital budgeting processes and ensure effective cash flow planning.
• Contribute actively to improvement initiatives and finance transformation activities.

5. Dashboards & Excel Modelling

• Maintain, develop and enhance financial dashboards and performance trackers for Business Units.
• Build robust Excel-based models, reporting templates, and automated tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Support in preparing monthly financial packs, reconciling data, and validating assumptions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university
• Required Professional Certifications: B.Com,M.Com or CA-Inter
• Minimum years of related experience required: 5+ years
• Financial Analysis & Modeling - Demonstrates exceptional skill in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and interpreting revenue and cost information. Excels at compiling comprehensive variance commentaries and implementing effective cost control strategies
• Budgeting and forecast - Expertly creates and manages quarterly and annual budgets, while skillfully developing forward-looking financial plans based on emerging business trends
• Reporting and Presentation - Excellent communication skills to prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards that highlight key insights and recommendations
• Advanced Excel & Power BI skills
