  • To identify, attract, and onboard qualified academic talent by implementing effective faculty recruitment strategies. The role is responsible for building a strong employer brand, ensuring a seamless hiring experience, and fostering positive relationships with both candidates and internal stakeholders to support MIT World Peace Universitys academic excellence and institutional growth.

Strategic

Talent Sourcing and Acquisition Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of recruitment strategies to attract top academic talent across diverse disciplines.
  • Maintain a continuous pipeline of qualified faculty through proactive sourcing, networking, and engagement initiatives.

Employer Branding and Candidate Engagement

  • Promote MIT-WPUs academic vision, values, and achievements to strengthen its position as an employer of choice in higher education.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and selection process.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with Deans, School Heads, and HR leadership to understand faculty requirements, position specifications, and hiring priorities.
  • Coordinate interviews, selection panels, and approval processes to ensure timely hiring decisions.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to university recruitment policies, approval protocols, and statutory compliance in all hiring activities.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment data, dashboards, and reports for management review.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the enhancement of recruitment systems, tools, and processes for improved efficiency and quality of hires.
  • Stay updated on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and best practices in academic recruitment.

Operational

Manpower Planning and Forecasting

  • Assess current and future faculty staffing needs in coordination with Deans and School Heads.
  • Maintain updated faculty strength reports and vacancy trackers as per the approved organogram.

Talent Sourcing and Recruitment Operations

  • Execute end-to-end recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection for academic positions.Utilize multiple sourcing channels such as job portals, social media, referrals, and professional networks to identify suitable candidates.
  • Manage recruitment for hard-to-fill and niche academic roles through targeted search strategies.

Employer Branding and Candidate Engagement

  • Support employer branding initiatives through faculty engagement campaigns, career fairs, and academic networking events.
  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience at every stage of the recruitment process.

Recruitment Systems and Data Management

  • Maintain recruitment data in HRIS and talent acquisition tools.
  • Generate and present periodic reports on hiring progress, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and other key recruiting KPIs.

Selection and Onboarding Coordination

  • Coordinate with panel members, departments, and HR Operations for interview scheduling, feedback collection, and offer rollouts.
  • Support post-selection activities including documentation, background verification, and onboarding.

Process Improvement and Compliance

  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance recruitment efficiency.
  • Ensure all hiring practices comply with institutional policies and statutory requirements.

Retention and Talent Development Support

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Academic Heads to monitor faculty engagement and retention trends.
  • Support initiatives related to faculty development and internal mobility.

Collaborations

  • Deans and School Heads:

    To understand academic manpower requirements, faculty profiles, and selection criteria aligned with institutional goals.
  • Human Resources Department:

    To coordinate manpower planning, offer approvals, onboarding formalities, and compliance documentation.
  • Academic Administration:

    To ensure timely recruitment aligned with academic calendars and program delivery schedules.
  • Recruitment and Search Partners:

    To engage with external agencies, job portals, and professional networks for sourcing qualified faculty.
  • Employer Branding and Communications Team:

    To support faculty recruitment campaigns, outreach activities, and visibility initiatives across academic platforms.

Academic

  • Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in

    business administration, Commerce, or Science (BBA/B. Com/B.Sc.)

    .
  • Masters degree in human resources (MBA/PGDM in HR)

    or equivalent specialization is mandatory.
  • Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years

    of relevant experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably in

    academic or education sector hiring

    .
  • Hands-on experience in sourcing, screening, and evaluating faculty profiles across various disciplines.
  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Familiarity with diverse selection and assessment methods (interviews, teaching demonstrations, assignments, and psychometric tests).
  • Proficiency in using HRIS, ATS, and recruitment marketing tools.
  • Experience in posting and managing job advertisements on professional networks, social media, and job portals.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and candidate engagement skills.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Sound understanding of academic structures, UGC/AICTE norms, and institutional hiring frameworks.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and recruitment marketing platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques (social media, job boards, referrals, professional networks, etc.).
  • Ability to analyse recruitment metrics and generate data-driven insights.
  • Familiarity with diverse selection methods including interviews, teaching demos, and assessments.
