Qualifications

● BE / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC) 

● 3-6 years of relevant experience in project estimation

Key Responsibilities

● Project Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for project-based electrical and E&TC works, including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overheads.

● Tender & Proposal Preparation: Develop tender documents, BOQs, technical 

specifications, and project scopes for bidding of infrastructure and utility projects.

● Rate Analysis: Conduct rate analysis for various project activities as per industry standards, client requirements, and internal benchmarks.

● Quantity Takeoff: Review technical drawings, tender documents, and specifications to extract accurate quantities for electrical and telecommunication systems.

● Project Budgeting: Prepare project budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets throughout the bidding process.

● Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Obtain competitive quotations, evaluate technical compliance, negotiate pricing, and finalize commercial inputs.

● Risk Assessment: Identify cost-related risks, technical ambiguities, and project constraints, and recommend mitigation measures during estimation.

● Documentation & Compliance: Maintain organized records of estimates, tender 

submissions, revisions, and project assumptions for audit and tracking.

● Management Reporting: Present estimate summaries, cost sheets, assumptions, and bid analysis reports to internal stakeholders and senior management.

Skills & Competencies

● Proficiency in estimation tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, and other related software.

● Strong analytical ability, numerical accuracy, and attention to detail.

● Excellent communication and documentation skills.

● Problem-solving mindset with sound engineering judgment.

● Ability to manage multiple tenders and work independently under deadlines.

● Sound knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and project execution practices.
