Job Title: Electrical Drafter Experience Required: 2 to 4 Years Location: Hinjewadi Phase 2, Pune Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Design / Engineering Reports To: Electrical Design Engineer / Project Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Drafter with 2–4 years of experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient electrical drawings and layouts for industrial and commercial projects using AutoCAD and other drafting software. The role demands a solid understanding of electrical systems, drafting standards, and close coordination with design and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed electrical drawings , schematics , single-line diagrams , wiring layouts , and panel layouts as per project requirements. Use AutoCAD , AutoCAD Electrical , or similar tools to draft and modify drawings. Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and customer requirements to develop clear technical drawings. Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure design accuracy and compliance. Maintain project documentation and drawing archives according to company standards. Ensure compliance with electrical codes , industry standards , and company guidelines . Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes or as-built conditions. Assist in preparing BOMs (Bill of Materials) , cable schedules , and other supporting documents. Coordinate with vendors or site engineers for clarifications and redlining. Adhere to project timelines and contribute to maintaining overall quality standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 2–4 years of proven experience as an Electrical Drafter in a manufacturing, EPC, or design consultancy environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD , AutoCAD Electrical , and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of electrical drafting standards , IEC/IS codes , Commercial Projects & panel design . Ability to read and interpret electrical plans , technical specifications , Good communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills: Experience with Revit MEP , EPLAN , or other 3D modeling/drafting tools. Familiarity with PLC panel wiring , control system schematics , or HV/LV systems . Familiarity with infrastructure projects , especially Smart Cities, is a strong advantage.
