Headquartered at Gurgaon, it has multiple manufacturing facilities in Delhi NCR and overseas, which produce mostly export stock.

The Role

As President of Manufacturing Operations this role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing to achieve operational excellence, which includes developing and implementing strategy, managing budgets, ensuring quality and safety, and leading teams.

Key responsibilities include managing daily operations, optimizing production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives like lean manufacturing, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

This senior leadership role also involves strategic planning, financial oversight, and reporting to the board of directors. Production, Engineering, SCM and Admin functions report to this role across its various units, both in India and overseas.


Responsibilities

Operational and tactical responsibilities

  • Production management:

     Oversee production processes from raw material to shipping, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production goals.
  • Process improvement:

     Implement and drive process improvements, including lean manufacturing principles, to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Quality and compliance:

     Establish and maintain quality control standards and ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and safety requirements (e.g., OSHA, GMP, FDA).
  • Performance management:

     Analyse production key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive data-driven decisions and improve performance.
  • Supply chain and inventory:

     Optimize inventory management to minimize on-hand materials while ensuring customer commitments are met.
  • Maintenance and safety:

     Ensure the maintenance of facilities and equipment and guarantee a safe and clean work environment.

Profitability Ownership

  • Billing & Revenue generation:

    Ensure timely shipping, complete order execution, including bill generation.
  • GP Level:

    Drive Manufacturing process efficiently to attain Gross Profit as per agreed GP level KPIs, including Production output compounding.
  • EBIDTA level:

     Own the EBIDTA level profitability of the complete Production capacity including plant level ownership. Top-line, Costs and Bottom-line.

Strategic and leadership responsibilities

  • Strategic alignment:

     Develop and execute the company's manufacturing strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and reporting on progress to the board.
  • Financial oversight:

     Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, oversee financial activities, and ensure cost control and profitability.
  • Stakeholder relations:

     Represent the company internally and externally and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Team leadership:

     Manage and mentor manufacturing managers and their teams, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability.


Must - Have Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field with MBA (preferred)

·        20+ Years of relevant industrial experience as Production Lead or Business Head.

·        A proven track record of successfully leading a manufacturing function and driving continuous improvement. 

·        The ability to develop long-term objectives and align them with overall business goals.

·        At least 10 years of handling Supply chain and operations function.

·        Proficiency in managing and controlling budgets for large-scale operations.

·        Experience with handling the commercial aspects of large contracts, particularly in industries like Exports, Apparel, Fashion Accessories or related industries is a must.

·        Prior experience in getting plant level ISO 9001 Certification

·        Superior oral and written communication, team leadership, and change management skills are essential.


Preferred Qualifications:

·        MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree in Business or Financial Management

·        Certifications like Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt or CSCP (Supply Chain Professional) are preferred.

·        Familiarity with manufacturing software, ERP and MES platforms, and engineering/plant machinery would be an added advantage.
