Head of Accounts and Finance

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Accounting Oversight: Manage the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the companys growth and profitability. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including those specific to the stock broking industry. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes. Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information to stakeholders, including senior management, board members, and investors. Prepare and present financial reports and analyses.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 8-10 years in a managerial or leadership role within the stock broking industry.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to the stock broking sector. Proficiency in financial software and systems.
• Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
