(Please do not call unless it's an urgent query) or admin@hr99global.com Job Requirements: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Costing to develop, implement, and maintain robust costing systems tailored to manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency, accurate inventory management, effective variance control, and compliance with internal and statutory standards. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain costing methodologies aligned with manufacturing processes, covering raw materials, WIP, finished goods, labor, and overheads. Analyze production costs, raw material variances, and yield efficiencies to identify and drive cost-saving opportunities. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports with actionable insights into cost trends. Conduct internal audits focused on cost control, inventory management, wastage monitoring, and overhead recovery. Review and validate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and product costing against actual performance. Audit manufacturing activities to detect inefficiencies and pilferages, recommending corrective actions. Ensure accurate cost allocation, considering the complexity of herbal ingredients and formulations. Identify gaps in cost management processes and collaborate with production teams for improvements. Prepare and review cost estimates for new product developments and process enhancements. Conduct surprise inventory audits for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. Evaluate vendor pricing trends and contribute to procurement cost optimization strategies. Ensure compliance with internal costing policies, standard costing practices, and statutory requirements including GST. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic cost planning. Train and guide production and accounts teams on cost awareness and best practices. Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs): Implement and maintain accurate and timely product costing systems. Conduct scheduled internal cost audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings. Analyze and report monthly cost variances with actionable plans for addressing deviations. Lead cost optimization initiatives across procurement, production, and wastage control. Improve inventory accuracy through regular audits and reconciliation processes. Ensure timely and compliant submission of all costing-related reports. Provide accurate and timely cost sheets for new product developments. Monitor and actively work to reduce wastage in raw materials and production processes. Show more Show less
