The Client Tax Operations utility in India consists of 150+ staff and is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of withholding, reporting, reclaim filing and relief at source function in over 100 markets globally. As a Client Tax Documentation Business Analyst, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between Client Tax Operations, Technology, and the business to enhance and streamline tax processes. As a business analyst you will leverage your analytical, technical, and project management skills to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of tax processes. The candidate will work directly with senior leads and key stakeholders, to understand complex business problems, designing and implementing solutions against the strategic Client Tax Operations Utility agenda including streamlined documentation, digitization, controls, and product development.
Job Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Work closely with tax operations to understand their needs and translate these requirements into documented functional specifications.
- Conduct detailed analysis of current tax operations processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement process enhancements to improve client experience, efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within tax operations.
- Utilize data analysis to propose solutions that streamline tax processes.
- Project Team Support:
- Lead or participate in the projects / programs aimed at implementing new systems or upgrading existing systems.
- Support the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation through closure including testing, validating acceptance criteria are met, and capturing benefit realization.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as liaison between the tax operations, technology teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals and statuses.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of tax-related data within the organization’s systems.
- Generate reports and perform analysis to support tax compliance and planning activities.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up to date with changes in tax regulations and ensure the systems and processes are updated accordingly.
- Support tax operations ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

- JIRA and Agile Methodology Experience
- Testing – Functional / UAT / Regression

- Strong hands-on experience in managing cross-functional, multi-year projects
- Experience designing business processes and decision models, preferably using Signavio
- Polished presentation skills with ability to communicate at executive level and to deliver compelling PowerPoint presentations that “tell a story” and enable decisions to be made

- Knowledge of Investment Bank businesses
- Knowledge of US Tax forms, CRS, and FATCA regimes
- Knowledge of US and non-US Regulations (including Tax)
- Using AI / LLM prompts for writing requirements
- Data Analysis (SQL / Alteryx / UI Path)
- Decision Modeling (DMN)
