Business Finance Manager - Pune


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Finance Manager to join our growing IT services and consulting firm. The role requires strong financial leadership, strategic planning, and analytical expertise to support business decision-making and drive growth. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end financial operations, ensure compliance, and partner with business leaders to enhance profitability and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for business units.
  • Partner with senior management to provide insights into revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance against KPIs and highlight variances with actionable recommendations.
  • Manage end-to-end accounting, compliance, taxation, and internal control processes.
  • Conduct financial modeling, business case preparation, and ROI analysis for new projects and investments.
  • Ensure adherence to RBI, MCA, SEBI, and other financial regulatory guidelines as applicable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Delivery, Sales) to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Oversee client billing, revenue recognition, and working capital management.
  • Support external audits, statutory filings, and compliance reporting.
  • Lead and mentor a small finance team, fostering professional growth and efficiency.


Role Requirements

  • Mandatory Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant (CMA).
  • 12–15 years of progressive finance experience with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role, preferably in IT/Consulting.
  • Strong exposure to financial analysis, business partnering, and strategic decision support.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, financial tools, and MS Excel (advanced level).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
