The Business Development Manager (BDM) will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities to achieve company growth objectives and expand market share. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills who can effectively articulate our value proposition to prospective clients and partners. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, target markets, and potential customers/partners. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop informed business strategies. Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market presence and achieve sales targets. Proactively identify and assess new avenues for revenue generation, including new products, services, or market segments. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Generate and qualify new leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, industry events, social media, and referrals. Research prospective accounts in target markets to understand their needs and challenges. Develop and execute outbound outreach campaigns to engage potential clients. Relationship Building & Management: Establish, build, and nurture strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients, key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers. Act as a primary point of contact for potential clients, understanding their business requirements and proposing tailored solutions. Foster relationships that can lead to repeat business and ongoing collaborations. Sales & Negotiation: Lead the negotiation and closure of business deals, contracts, and partnerships, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads and support the sales cycle. Monitor sales progress and work towards meeting or exceeding defined sales goals and revenue targets. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Finance, to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of new initiatives. Provide continuous feedback to sales and marketing teams based on market insights and client interactions. Ensure all internal stakeholders are aligned and informed about new business developments. Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities in a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce). Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on sales performance, market trends, pipeline health, and business development activities. Conduct sales forecasts and analysis to identify future trends and inform strategic decisions.
