R&D Sustainability team is responsible for ensuring KONE solutions meet the ever-tightening global environmental legislation as well as green building related customer requirements. We work to show that our solutions are made from safe and durable, sustainable materials which contribute to several major green building rating schemes. We are also driving KONEs scope 3 emissions reductions. Environmental Specialist is responsible for guiding new R&D projects to select materials into use that meet the requirements as well as analyzing data and ensuring selected materials meet the requirements from customers, corporate and legislation. Environmental Specialist is also leading the work in compiling life cycle assessments and supporting energy efficiency measurements both at KONE test facilities and at customer sites.
