Role Overview

Business Development Manager


Key Responsibilities

1.Lead Generation & Sales

  • Proactively identify and target new business opportunities for Salesforce multi-cloud implementations, as well as Conga CLM and CPQ solutions.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, from lead generation through to closing deals.
  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments, product demos, and presentations to potential clients, aligning solutions to their specific business goals.
  • Build and develop relationships with the sales team of salesforce, conga, Workato, servicenow & other emerging platforms/Technologies/Products.
  • Manage co-selling activities with SEs and BDRs in setting the quota’s and helping them attain.


2.Sales Cycle Management

  • Drive the full sales cycle, including qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas, ensuring consistent revenue growth.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Salesforce consultants, implementation specialists, etc.) to tailor solutions for clients and ensure smooth project transitions post-sale.


3.Mentorship & Team Development

  • Mentor junior sales representatives and business development interns to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and overall performance.
  • Provide coaching on best practices in prospecting, qualifying leads, closing deals, and building lasting client relationships.
  • Contribute to creating a collaborative and high-performing sales environment through training and continuous development.

4.Market & Product Expertise

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud& other) and Conga solutions (CPQ, CLM), staying current on product updates and new releases.
  • Leverage your product knowledge to create compelling proposals and help clients understand the value of Salesforce and Conga solutions.

5.Networking & Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target accounts.
  • Utilize your network within the Salesforce ecosystem to generate leads and promote Cloudely’s services.
  • Attend industry events, webinars, and networking activities to increase Cloudely’s visibility and create new business opportunities.

6.Collaboration with Marketing & Leadership

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and initiatives that generate qualified leads.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, opportunities, and pipeline progression to senior leadership.
  • Offer feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to inform Cloudely’s strategic direction.


Qualifications


Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales, specifically within Salesforce implementation or related cloud technologies.
  • Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas and winning new business.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce solutions or related technologies is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior sales staff or interns to success.


Skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients at all levels.
  • Strong networking abilities with established relationships in the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Ability to understand complex technical solutions and effectively communicate their value to clients.
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and the ability to meet sales targets.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.


Certifications

  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) or other relevant Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience or certifications in Conga CPQ, CLM, or other Conga products are a plus.


Other

  • Willingness to work in USA time zones.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while being a team player.
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate with teams in a distributed environment.
