Role Overview

The Brand Strategist is responsible for defining, shaping, and articulating brand direction through insight-driven strategy. This role bridges research, business objectives, creative thinking, and execution ensuring every brand decision is purposeful, consistent, and commercially relevant.

You will lead brand discovery, positioning, and strategic frameworks that guide identity, communication, and customer experience across touch-points.


Key Responsibilities


Strategy & Insight
  • Lead brand discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews
  • Conduct market, category, competitor, and cultural research
  • Develop consumer insights, personas, and audience segmentation
  • Identify white spaces and strategic opportunities within the market


Brand Foundations
  • Define brand purpose, vision, mission, and values
  • Develop brand positioning, value propositions, and differentiation frameworks
  • Create brand architecture and portfolio strategies (where applicable)
  • Establish tone of voice and brand personality guidelines


Creative Direction Support
  • Translate strategy into clear creative briefs for design, content, and digital teams
  • Collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, and filmmakers to ensure strategic alignment
  • Review creative outputs to ensure consistency with brand strategy


Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Present strategic thinking clearly and persuasively to clients and internal teams
  • Act as the strategic point of contact during branding engagements
  • Guide clients through strategic decision-making with confidence and clarity


Documentation & Systems
  • Create brand strategy decks, brand books, and playbooks
  • Ensure strategies are actionable, scalable, and easy to implement


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in brand strategy, advertising, consulting, or design agencies
  • Strong understanding of branding principles, consumer psychology, and business strategy
  • Proven experience in research synthesis and insight development
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and communication skills
  • Ability to think both conceptually and commercially
  • Experience working with creative teams and senior stakeholders


Preferred Skills
  • Experience across multiple industries or premium/lifestyle brands
  • Knowledge of digital ecosystems, content strategy, and customer journeys
  • Familiarity with brand valuation, pricing perception, and positioning models
