Job Title: Branch Manager – Agency Channel

Location: [Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Mumbai]-ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WITH LOCAL MARKET EXP, NO RELOCATION PLEASE. CANDIDATES FROM LIFE INSURANCE INDUSTRY WILL GET PREFERENCE.

CTC: Up to 15 LPA

Job Purpose:

The Branch Manager – Agency Channel will be responsible for leading and managing the agency sales team at the branch level. The role involves driving business targets through recruitment, development, and retention of insurance advisors/agents, ensuring high productivity, profitability, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development & Sales

  • Drive sales of life insurance products through the agency channel to achieve branch business targets (premium, policies, persistency, and advisor activation).
  • Identify business opportunities, plan and execute strategies to maximize market share.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to improve branch performance.
  1. Agency Recruitment & Development

  • Recruit, train, and develop insurance advisors and leaders to build a strong and productive agency force.
  • Ensure regular skill enhancement and certification of agents as per IRDAI guidelines.
  • Conduct motivation and retention programs for advisors to minimize attrition.
  1. Team Management

  • Lead, guide, and mentor the branch sales team (Agency Development Managers / Unit Managers).
  • Ensure performance management, productivity tracking, and capability building of the sales team.
  • Drive a high-performance culture within the branch.
  1. Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain high levels of persistency and quality of business.
  • Oversee smooth branch operations and effective coordination with support functions.
  1. Customer Relationship Management

  • Promote customer-centric culture within the branch.
  • Ensure service excellence and grievance redressal for policyholders and agents.
  • Build strong relationships with agents and key customers to drive loyalty and referrals.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of branch sales targets (FYP, NOP, persistency, advisor activation).
  • Recruitment and retention of agents.
  • Productivity per agent & per manager.
  • Compliance & quality score.
  • Branch profitability and growth.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate (MBA preferred).
  • 7–12 years of experience in sales, with at least 3–5 years in insurance/financial services in a leadership role.
  • Strong exposure to Agency Channel preferred.
  • Excellent people management, communication, and networking skills.
  • Ability to drive performance and achieve business results.
